I want to write to you about the buzz around the Paleo diet. One may think this is sort of extreme. Kind of eating like a caveman. Doesn’t really sound appealing in one way. The key here is that you are eating natural, unprocessed foods as much as possible. Our highly processed food is getting us in trouble with obesity and other diseases. The paleo diet is on the other side of the spectrum. One does not have to go 100% paleo but if you incorporate some paleo recipes into your diet, your body will truly benefit. The modern diet is full of things that are tempting and delicious, but very bad for you. High fructose corn syrup for example has never been a normal food for humans and has very detrimental effects on one’s health. Moderation and variety are key in getting a proper nutritional balance. Getting a wide array of vitamins, minerals and amino acids from a variety of foods will assure that your body is not deficient and is operating at full capacity.
The paleo diet can be delicious and healthy for you if you prepare it right.
