It’s not too late to get in shape for summer!
Summer can be busy with so many events, parties, cook outs and other activities. Getting in better shape is more possible now with nice weather and longer daylight. You can go jogging, walking, biking, swimming, and play sports. On the other hand, there is also temptation with extra calories at your cook outs, festivals and other parties. You may be more active but you are not losing any fat. You still cannot fit in the swimming suit you want to wear. Help!
What to do
1) Continue your higher level of activity and try to increase it even more. Add weight lifting to your weekly routine.
2) Drink lots of water to stay hydrated and fill yourself up.
3) Watch your calories. This is key. Pace yourself at the cookout party. Hold off on the deep fried whatever at the festival. Choose healthy and choose less. If you are stuffed and bloated you have overdone it.
4) Believe that weight loss is possible. Commit to be fit. Sometimes you may not feel like exercising but once you get out of the chair and go for a walk you suddenly feel more alive and energized. Get addicted to that energized buzz.
Don’t think the summer is half over and that you should give up getting fit if you are not there yet. You should think that you want to be fit at all times of the year because looking and feeling fit is a fantastic mood booster for you.
